Emily Ratajkowski hits back at ‘awful’ people calling her a ‘bad mum’: ‘Shame on you all’
Emily Ratajkowski decided to call out mum-shamers in a fiery post!
The 30-year-old model shared a message on Instagram about the negative comments she’s been receiving about her parenting.
“We are all reflecting back on shaming Britney [Spears] and calling her a bad mum,” Ratajkowski wrote. “We talk about how we have to ‘do better’ as a culture. Meanwhile, my comments are filled with awful remarks about how I don’t deserve to be a mum. Shame on you all.”
She added, “I don’t care if you hate me or hate celebrity (or just hate women) but it’s incredibly scary to become a parent and no one deserves to be told by strangers that they’re a s–tty mother.”
“Everyone laughs at this,” she said. “There is a truth to our line, though, one that hints at possibilities that are much more complex than whatever genitalia our child might be born with: the truth that we ultimately have no idea who — rather than what — is growing inside my belly. Who will this person be? What kind of person will we become parents to? How will they change our lives and who we are? This is a wondrous and terrifying concept, one that renders us both helpless and humbled.”
