The 33-year-old then extended an invite for Kelly, 31, to attend his next fight.
“Come to the next fight and watch me perform any time. I perform, no problem. Everyone’s more than welcome to come to my fights or come to the shows. No beef. I don’t even know the guy,” McGregor added.
It was on Monday that the two men were photographed in almost-altercation on the red carpet, with McGregor allegedly “throwing fists”.
“[They] got into a fight at the top of the carpet [and] had to be pulled apart,” a source confirmed to Page Six, with another telling the outlet, “[McGregor] was ready to throw fists. Security was having trouble holding him back.”
There was also speculation McGregor became upset when his request for a photo with Kelly was ignored, but the fighter’s reps denied this in a statement.
“Conor McGregor did not ask anyone for a picture, nor did he instigate this incident,” the statement read. “He does not know Machine Gun Kelly, outside of the fact that he attended Conor’s fight this past July.”
